I gained a degree in English Studies from Sheffield Hallam University in 1998 which included a semester on Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL). The same year I was commissioned to write a book entitled 'The Encyclopedia of World Pop Music 1980-2001' which was published in 2003. In November 2023 I had a second book published. This was about the music of the British band, The Jam.' I used to work in the music industry as a Tour Manager and Backline Technician and was fortunate that the job took me around the world. My interests include writing, reading, watching TV and movies, listening to music, and playing the guitar. I also enjoy soccer and cricket. I now live in Spain and, after having many Spanish lessons, I understand what is necessary to be a good teacher of foreign languages. It was this learning experience that made me want to teach English to others.
