Some of my hobbies include Reading (whenever I have the time), baking, listening to music, and watching movies. One of my passions has always been to teach English. Even back when I lived in Nigeria where English is used as a medium of communication, the English Language has been my favorite subject. And yes, I used to help my friends and classmates write their essays for them. In College, I also had the experience of tutoring some of my fellow students who were having a hard time in speech, grammar, essay writing, and poetry. Eventually, I started a family and had my own kids. From my eldest to my youngest, I personally became their tutor in English and other subjects. Some of the parents in school ask me to help teach their kids from time to time and based on my experience, I can say that I have been an effective and efficient teacher to them. Teaching students of different ages and backgrounds has given me a better understanding of the different methods of teaching and allowed me to learn how to handle every situation. Being a mother has also given me a better view on how to adjust to the learning capacity of every student I teach. I always tell my students that, every day is a learning process. Even geniuses do not stop somewhere. They continue to grow and gain knowledge anyhow they can. Just like in the English language, speaking English fluently does not make you an expert. There is always room for improvement in everything. That's why teachers are here to help and make the students more confident in communicating or writing in English.
