Ray Roshdy

Hello! I’m Ray, a TESOL-certified English teacher from Trinity College London. I also have a Bachelor of Science in Engineering. 

A couple of years ago, I started volunteer teaching, helping Koreans and Germans learn English (and Arabic) online, because I love languages, and it was a fun way for me to pass time and make friends. And that was when I realized how much I loved teaching. I enjoyed the process of teaching and putting lessons together, so much so that I decided to study this academically, get certified, and turn this into a full-time job. 

The environment in my classes is always fun and friendly. Even though I usually only teach adults, I believe having fun and creating a lesson that is interesting and engaging is as important when teaching adults as it is teaching kids.

Besides teaching, I'm also a freelance scientific copyeditor and a movie assistant director. As for my hobbies, I love writing short stories and flash fiction. I also enjoy sketching and playing the piano.
